Dear Parents,

Next week is watching week and you are invited to come along to watch what your child has learnt this term (apart from the Monday Classes where we will be finishing on Monday 14th July due to the May Day we had). Where possible please could you try and limit guests to 2 per family and try if possible to have siblings looked after. We have been finding the watching week becoming very stressful trying to teach the children with siblings running around throughout the class and making noise. The difficulties of trying to find child care can be a problem but the siblings do understandably get bored and we feel the disruption this causes is unfair to the children trying to dance.

Thank you again for all the support for our Mufti Week this term, we hopefully will be renewing some ballet barres with the money raised.  If you havent seen the pictures, they are posted on our website.

There are a few changes to our timetable so please check the times highlighted on your invoices. Please make sure the 2014 Tapathon Children In Need Sunday 16th November is in your diaries from 12.00-2.00pm.  If you havent tapped before heres your chance!!!! We have added some 15 mins slots on our Modern & Tap day on Tuesdays. The Adult Tap Classes on Wednesday mornings are also learning the routines too. There is one basic Tap routine and then an alternative more advanced version. If you cant get to dedicated times we hope to teach part of the easier routine on the day maybe even get brothers, sisters, mums , dads, nannies, granddads all tapping! (doesnt matter if you dont have tap shoes).  Signup sheets and relevant paperwork will be out next term. There will be a fee to attend this event which includes a Tapathon T-shirt but all proceeds will be going to this Charity. We hope it will be a great success so please come along and support it! In addition we were hoping to run an evening Adult Tap Class on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm so please let us know if youd be interested.

On the 22nd November we hope to be performing again in the Farnham Light Switch On . A little bit chilly but the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience last year.  Rehearsals for this will be on either Saturday afternoons or Sundays and hopefully in the Street Dance classes on Fridays ………possibly the Tapathon routine if people are willing?  Again relevant paperwork will be given out at the start of next term.

We will also be entering the London Mabel Ryan Competition later on in the year. Check the Cecchetti Linkon our website  for more details, again paperwork will be out next term for the children and students who wish to compete.

As you are aware we are very fortunate having Mr. David and Josie our wonderful pianists playing in our ballet classes.  Mr. Lois sadly retired last year after playing the piano for 30 years at the Demeric School of Dance and we were hoping to find a new pianist. If you do know of someone or maybe a student musician who would like to play the piano for some of the ballet classes please let us know. Hours can be flexible to suit, please pass on their details to us.

Summer Workshop places are still available Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th, Friday 29th August. Please download a workshop form from the website or ask your class teacher. On the agenda this summer will be Street Dance, Cheerleading and Musical Theatre.

Please pass on our new leaflets; if you introduce a friend then you can receive a 10% discount from one of your classes.

And lastly have a great Summer break and lets hope the sun will keep shining!
